Warning: before you fall in love with Argentinian label Rapsodia, keep in mind that their über-romantic and bohemian threads are sadly not yet available here in the US. But it doesn’t mean we can’t continue to swoon over their spring collection – where jackets and dresses, inspired by embroidery and floral motifs from Thailand, Vietnam and Mynamar, are paired so perfectly with various washes and styles of denim. Bohemian rhapsody, indeed.
Embroidered tunics, soft linens, drawstring pants, slit maxi skirts, and cozy layers . . . how does Ulla Johnson know exactly what I want to wear everyday?
Putting a rebellious and outdoorsy twist on east coast prep, Bellerose is simply killing it with their spring lookbook. I love the layering of plaid, stripes, neutrals, and camo accessorized with socks under booties, braids in the hair and of course, colorful parrots propped on the shoulder. Polly want a cracker?
Haitian-Italian designer Stella Jean just kills it collection after collection. The styling is always spot on as it really doesn’t get better than impeccably tailored wax printed cottons paired with vintage-inspired tees, menswear button downs, bold jewelry and of course, silk head wraps. The combinations are outrageously cool and endless and needless to say, I’m completely obsessed.
It’s no surprise that Argentinian designer Maia Bergman‘s final collection, before graduating from Central St. Martin’s School of Design, put her in the running for the 2013 H&M Design Award. Maia brilliantly embellishes sheer and simple silhouettes with tiny and colorful plastic beads, while drawing inspiration from the repetitive patterns of bacteria growth and the downtown punk and pop sensibility of designer Stephen Sprouse. We’re honestly blown away by the textures and details and are just dying to see more from this emerging designer!
Doesn’t the styling in Mango‘s summer catalog make you want to immediately pack your bags and jetset to the most faraway destination?! We’re loving the high waisted pants, ikat printed jackets and lightweight blouses paired with wide brimmed hats, bold jewelry and the occasional sarape draped over the shoulder. So chic.
