Pool House Shower With BEHR Color Trends 2021 Palette

I'm happy to report that we are seeing the light after nearly 2 years of on and off again renovations at our Sonoma property! The Northern California fires and the pandemic have been significant obstacles throughout the process but finally, we’re in the last stretch, which can be equally exciting as it is painstaking. This is when a vision finally comes to life - although more times than not, it requires flexibility to make tweaks in case things don’t turn out exactly as imagined. And of course, details are everything. But the final product can be so incredibly rewarding!

One of the rooms I'm most thrilled about is the shower in the pool house. I really wanted to challenge myself to think outside of the box with this space. The idea of having cement walls was really the catalyst for the design of the room as I wanted something rustic yet still modern. I also knew I wanted a painted shiplap ceiling to tone down the cement and also allow for a chance to bring in some unexpected and playful color. So you can imagine how excited I was when I had the opportunity to partner with BEHR® Paint to help launch the BEHR Color Trends 2021 Palette. I, along with 20 other content creators, are showcasing how to incorporate each of the 21 colors into your home and how each hue can provide a sense of elevated comfort in your everyday life. I chose Jojoba N390-3, a light and neutral green sage color and the perfect, calming hue to compliment greige walls and a black and white tiled floor.

I love the way the room turned out and how that light and warm sage green instantly brightened and softened up the room. And as you all know by now, my favorite part of designing any room is accessorizing it! A couple of straw baskets, black and white Turkish towels and a bit of greenery ties it all together. Pool or no pool, I’ll definitely be spending some much deserved "me" time in here for some refreshment and rejuvenation.

  7. OMG this is so stunning! I really live this style although I’m not encourage enough to paint any room in my house in this cement color. Love how it turned out.
