Honestly WTF

Mini Bar

Posted by on

I’m looking forward to the first Sunday of February so I can wake up early to scour my local flea market for a vintage bar cart. I figured it’s about time I pull my pretty collection of glassware and bottles out of their cabinets. After all, when the clock strikes 5, having the makings of a cocktail within reach is absolutely necessary – wouldn’t you agree?

I would love to be able to find an affordable, vintage-inspired bar cart as well. For the time being, we just turned an old low Target bookshelf into our makeshift bar. Sometimes I think we just have too much liquor to store on a cute little cart!

I am having such a hard time deciding which one I like the most! Maybe that one in the bright floral room? Or the glass lucite? Gah, so pretty!

Great photo set! This has my gears turning…I may just have to build a minibar sometime soon.

Love the chrome one! Every home needs some sort of a “drinks” place, and no matter what it is it can be lovely depending on the accessories. Hope you find something!!!!

I love the 4th one! I would definitely get one of these unless I buy a house with a bar already in it. =)

I LOVE bar carts. However, they aren’t super baby friendly ;) live it up now.

whoa, why is that top right cart stocked with so much jasmine tea? (bottom shelf). I only know because I buy the exact same tea. I’m wondering if I’m missing out on some awesome jasmine tea cocktail out there.

These are so adorable! I really want one now! Why are you going on the first of February? Is that when the flea market opens or when mini bar carts are on sale?

I love the white iron cart in the photo next to the window! So lovely. I feel like I want to be that friend who has the perfectly stocked mini bar for fun evenings playing games or just watching a movie. Kind of like…the Gilmore Girls.

the bars look so good!! actually i have found one quite like the one in the first picture, on a flee market here in Dijon. And the lady only wanted 15 €, which is nothing compared to the fact that it was vintage and in great condition. My only problem was, that i used to sell my stuff at the very same flee market and had a full car… no place to store the bar for transport… i am still dreaming of it, even after 1,5 years…
the only thing that bothers me now, is the face that you need to clean it once a week, with all the dust… when i think of that, i may be going for a closed one…

i couldn’t take a glass and drink out it, without washing it first…and this is where it gets complicated…

Sometimes Partner-in-Crime jokes that I only finally moved out to California so I could live with the bar cart I bought and kept at his place for two years while we dated cross-country. I deny it, but I am glad to finally be reunited… with the bar cart. It looks most like the top two. Classic shape, two tier and full of vintage glassware. Now I just want vintage decanters for my collection of whisk(e)ys.

I’ve got a mid-century Danish bar-trolley inherited from my mother-in-law, I think it’s the item I love most in my home out of everything. it helps that it also offers a drink!
