In the large city of Taichung, Taiwan, what was once known as a military dependents’ village is now called the Rainbow Village. 86-year-old Haung Yung-Fu has covered every square inch of wall space in colorful paintings. The buildings were slated to be torn down but the mayor has promised to preserve this amazing man’s labor of love. I don’t know about you, but I must see this for myself!

I want to hug the man who painted these. Literally that was my first instinct.
Totally amazing! That’s wonderful that it will be preserved. I wish NYC would recognize that with 5 Pointz. I know it’s graffiti but that building has several amazing tributes and pieces by so many amazing artists. It would be a shame to see it all become condos!
