My love of heirloom jewelry has grown exponentially over the last few of years. Mostly because there's more intention behind the way in which I've been collecting pieces - it's not so much about quantity but quality. Whether they're antique or new, I'm looking for meaning and substance in each charm, token or ring. This is why I'm revisiting Foundrae, a New York based fine jewelry label with a whole lot of spirit and soul. Inspired by the female journey of life, designer Beth Bugdaycay has garnered a cult following with her signature cigar band rings and medallions - each carry significance by way of motifs, numbers, letters or words. Add a few mystical symbols, diamonds and enamel details and it's no wonder her devout collectors keep coming back for more. Some of my current favorites include her gothic initials, studded with baguette diamonds, heart love tokens (I collect heart tokens!!), and bespoke medallions, which can be customized with gemstones and engraving in their New York boutique. Swoon . . .
