My love affair with antique jewelry began at a really young age when I’d habitually sift through and admire my mother’s collection of gold and jade rings, necklaces and bangles, all of which had been passed down from several generations. Most pieces had a story – stories which I felt attached to and hoped that one day would belong to me. Not only do I love the significance that heirloom jewelry carries, it’s distinctive and everlasting, making it worth every investment. I’ve recently been obsessed with rings: signet rings, Edwardian pearl rings, mourning rings, pinkie rings and diamond bands . . . j’adore them all. There are so many incredible treasure hunters in the market today, curating some impressive collections. So today, I’m sharing the wealth by rounding up my top 5 favorite antique jewelry purveyors. Get ready to swoon!
Metier SF: For over 20 years, Sheri Evans and Trina Papini have been buying estate and modern jewelry for their stunning gem of a boutique in Hayes Valley, San Francisco. Their shared passion for storied trinkets and modern approach for procuring keepsakes means they’ve amassed a covetable collection of jewelry from nearly every era.
Erstwhile Jewelry: Fifth-generation jeweler J.S. Klusner and his wife are best known for their collection of antique engagement rings from the 1880s to the 1940s. The way the age old diamond rings are paired and stack with the couple’s own vintage-inspired bands makes Erstwhile a one stop shop for lovers. But what I really adore is their selection of unique mourning rings from the Georgian and Victorian eras – some of which are over 200 years old! Pure romance.
Esqueleto: Let’s just call Lauren Wolf the mix master. The jeweler and boutique owner inspires with her “stack of the week,” where she essentially schools us on how to properly pile on a lust worthy assortment of estate and contemporary rings, including stunners from her own collection. Study up and stack ’em up, ladies.
FD Gallery: Expect to find vintage Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, Belperron, David Webb and Boivin, as well as one of kind antique pieces with fascinating, and sometimes significant, provenance at New York’s FD Gallery. Walking into Upper East Side boutique is like stepping back in time in the most glamorous jewel box of a time machine. And you’ll soon realize the word “exceptional” simply doesn’t do it justice. Even if you don’t score anything, at least you can walk away with a bit of jewelry trivia, thanks to curator and treasure hunter Fernando Bustillo’s captivating Instagram account.
Arrow & Anchor Antiques: Nashville native Brooke Baxter has only been collecting and sourcing antique jewelry for 7 years but she’s got an impeccable eye for making age-old heirloom rings look chic and modern. I smitten with her love of opal clad Art Nouveau rings as well as her personal collection of rare Cartier zodiac rings from the 70s.

Such a beautiful collection. Thank you for sharing it. I have a small collection of my mother’s jewels (some wonderful costume pieces) from the 40’s and 50’s. The stories that go with them really are the best aren’t they? My mother (rest her soul) had been a dancer and model and had no problem telling me where she had gotten them – more like what man and under what circumstance she was given them….some slightly risque. I treasure the pieces and wear them, loving the stories the most of all I think.
These are gorgeous! We also have quite a collection of antique, vintage and estate rings. Stop by to visit with us sometime (www.katiecallahanandco.com).

Where To Shop For Antique Rings –
Fantastic items from you, man. I’ve take into accout your stuff previous to and you’re just extremely excellent.
I actually like what you have bought right here, really like what you’re stating and the way in which through
which you assert it. You’re making it enjoyable and you continue to care for to
stay it sensible. I can not wait to read much more from you.
This is really a wonderful website.- calator.tel
how can i shop, i do not see a website. for stackable rings. thank you
HonestlyWTF, do you do research before you sip a latte and a throw together some mediocre content with regurgitated sources that are neither new or relevant. I’m going to guess no, since the majority of the rings you so basically stacked were done so contritely. You understand that more than half of your “content” feature Georgian or Victorian Mourning rings while no one can argue their beauty, have you once that their rarity is best left for those of us actually in mourning, respecting the century’s old tradition, honoring our beloved. Not only is it plain trash, but your platform which should educate, serves the mediocrity it echoes in your subpar writing. I myself am seeking a mourning ring for my father whom I lost to a horrific battle with cancer. I find this post disgraceful, uncouth, and uneducated. Shame on you and of course you have no style, syntax or anything else worth mentioning.
Where do I find the shop with the prices of the jewellery please
Love the rings would like the prices of them.
Thinking about new job regarding jewelry pieces.
The black onyx ring is exactly like the one that was given to me from my mom, gift from father, ran into hard times and had to pawn it, were can I find another?

Can someone please help me, in one of the pictures there is an oval onyx ring on a gold band, my mom had that exact ring when I was growing up and it got stolen. I’ve been searching for months trying to find the identical picture of it and finally have, now… anyone have more info on that ring?
The rings are all stunning! love the one with the lookalike Marie Antoinette with diamonds all around.
