When 3 year old Maddie's parents reached out to Chauncey Boothby to design a "big girl" room, the timing couldn't be more perfect. The interior designer had just happened to stumble upon a vintage Madeline print with a circus-safari theme that ended up being the core inspiration for the transitional room. In fact, the Bemelmans print currently hangs above a sweet, pear green desk from Chelsea Edition as a reminder of the room's roots. The piece de resistance is the low profile, tented Restoration Hardware bed, which was customized with Ottoline's bold green "sporty stripe" fabric. The saffron yellow, green and pink tones are carried throughout the room in its details like hardware, lighting, furniture and whimsical accessories. A most magical menagerie . . .
