What Is Precious

Posted by on

I’m obsessed with designer Ek Thongprasert’s line of silicone gemstone necklaces. The concept is fantastically unique and it so cleverly begs the question “What Is Precious“? They are available at Olive Shoppe, however the pastel colors are currently sold out. I can’t wait to get my hands on a lavender one!

I always love pieces that try to recreate a “precious” image, so thank you so much for sharing these!

And you’re right – they really are so sweet in pastel colours!

These are fantastic! They remind me a bit of the plastic fantastic furniture line that came out a few years ago. Google it if you’re not familiar – I promise it’s totally worth the time.

These are beyond fabulous! Just looking at these, I would not think these were made out of silicon. It would be interesting to try making a mold of the necklace and filling it with hot glue and then painting over it. I might just have to put this on my DIY lists. Thanks gals!

These remind me of Jackie Kennedy’s costume jewelry – often fake items that were copied from real ones. These are so neat :)

Those are really cool. I, too, really love when things are made out of unexpected materials–such as a bikini made out of terry cloth, jewelry made out if fabric, or a skirt made out of sweater material. A lot of it has to do with texture; I love surprising and varying textures in garments!
