Things I’m Loving This Fall

Now that it's been a couple of weeks since both of my littles started school (cue the tears!), that end of summer sadness has finally waned a bit and I'm starting to get excited about fall. I love the onset of this season, when the air starts to feels cooler and crisper, for all the obvious reasons: cozy and comfortable layers. Speaking of comfortable, I've recently become the proud owner of some Rothy's. Honestly, they're the most comfortable flats I've slipped my feet into . . . probably ever. If you don't already know, which you should, each pair of Rothy's is constructed of plastic. That's right. 100% post-consumer plastic water bottles using a unique 3D knitting technology that reduces waste at a tremendous rate. The foam is recycled and the adhesives are vegan and non-toxic. And they're machine washable! Boom. No brainer. I am all for supporting such an innovative and socially responsible brand, especially when their shoes allow me to walk a million miles without a second thought. Again, so comfortable. With the release of their latest jewel-toned hues, I had a bit of fun playing with some fun color combinations and some of my favorite fall staples . . .

Mini bags + chunky oversized sweaters. I'm loving bags that are just small enough to carry a phone, wallet and lip balm. Sometimes, just sometimes, less is more!

Tortoise sunnies and hair tucks! My favorite thing about an oversized turtleneck? Being able to tuck my hair into it!

Layered necklaces + long, floor sweeping coats. Just because summer is over, it doesn't mean you can't carry your jewelry over to fall. I love layering necklaces over a sweater or long sleeved shirt.

Corduroy and color. Mixing in an unexpected color has become my new favorite way to accessorize. It's so liberating to not overthink "matching" your ensemble. Just have fun with it!

Interesting shoes. Machine washable, that would make life so much easier. I checked out their shop, they look great, in various colors and prints, unfortunately they ship only in the U.S. You style them also well by the way.

Love this look, especially the sunnies! Wish we could get a closer look at the shoes – they look so cool, I can’t believe they’re 3D printed!

If you go to their website, you can find a cool video showing how they’re 3D knitted! It’s fascinating!

It’s Acne! It runs really big so I recommend sizing down.
