There's a special energy amongst women, found in friendships, relationships and family, that inspires Paris-based artist Diane Dal-pra to replicate that same spirit in her acrylic paintings. I just love the juxtaposition of old and new in her signature aesthetic - Renaissance inspired colors and compositions and Picasso and Matisse inspired abstract forms with modern, exaggerated shapes and subjects. Brands, like Gucci and Rus, have commissioned Dal-pra on works for recent campaigns and I can only imagine that we'll be seeing even more from this incredibly talented artist . . .

"Women are very present in my work, sometimes in a group. I like to try to make their shapes and their emotions communicate. Then, harmonies of colours guide me during the construction of my images."
