Stela 9

Traveling the world in search of recycled textiles, precious stones and ethical leather, the husband and wife duo behind Stela9 have created a line of vibrant and gorgeous handcrafted handbags. My inner wanderlust is jonesing for each and every one – especially the weekender bags! Today, their online store officially launches and as usual, a portion of all proceeds are returned to the communities and skilled artisans that have contributed to these bags. Honestly, cool.

(Stela9 bags $195-$345; also available at FreePeople, Shopbop & NastyGal)

  23. Thats pretty amazing. I love hearing about designers who incorporate themselves into every part of the business, sourcing materials and factories in places other companies don’t have the time (or, in some cases, morals) to find. I’d love to see more like this!!
