Sanayi 313 isn’t just a shoe label. It’s a concept boutique founded by brothers Enis and Amir Karavil. Located in an industrial district of Istanbul, Sanayi 313 offers home furnishings, art, clothing, a marketplace and restaurant. Serena Uziyel, a close friend and Parsons School of Design graduate, joined the duo to design a collection of Ottoman-inspired babouche slippers and a cult following was ignited. The embellishments, which include pom poms, tassels and metallic embroidery, are fun but not frivolous – bold but not garish. Love. No, obsessed.
