Whenever economic hardships hit, there is a growth in the sales of cosmetics. Case in point, the Wall Street Crash of ’29 caused a huge spike in lipstick sales and more recently, nail polish sales have skyrocketed due to the recession. Madrid based brand SuTurno has created two gorgeous scarves made of 100% silk to celebrate this trend in history as well as 30s glamour and the surrealist humor of Elsa Schiaparelli. We love the muted tones that contrast so nicely with bright pinks and reds!

Love your blog!
I’m posting looks from L.A. and accessories:
I love these scarves. I first saw them a month or two ago and instantly fell in love.
I think they would be great framed, they have such interesting patterns. I believe they would be a real conversation piece.

I am in love with these scarves but can’t find a stockist. Can you help? The website only sells cushions. The listed stockist in NYC only carries the fabric. Help, tis is a fashion emergency.
@housecat Oh no! Hopefully they haven’t sold out? I recommend contacting them directly. Good luck!
Oh my goodness these are incredible. Absolutely perfect.
love this x
I’m not sure about these, the lip ones are cool but the fingers creep me out a bit
@HouseCat Thanks for your kinds words! You can currently purchase them on-line, while stock lasts, at thecools.com and also our UK stockist youmustcreate.com
Feel free to contact us if the above options are sold out and will try to help you.
Ah Schiaparelli, brilliant artist.
The scarves are beautiful too.
But the hand prints are nicer than the lips.
Love the modern-yet-vintage look!
I love that photo shoot. I love the hand print. I love those wooden hands!
I like the lip print, but I don’t know about the hand one. I find it a little creepy.
It’s really cool:)
