Ace & Jig Spring 2016

Cary Vaughan and Jenna Wilson have dedicated themselves to the slow and deliberate process of textile making, which makes Wolfgang Laib, a conceptual artist known for methodically working with natural elements, the ideal muse for their spring collection. I mean, how can you not fall in love with their beautifully thoughtful clashing of geometric patterns, inspired by old Welsh blankets and woven in gauze cotton inspired by traditional Ghanaian and Japanese fabrics? The globetrotter, and vintage textile hoarder, in me wants it all . . .

I find those patterns quite interesting, they remind me of kitchen towels and tiles. Really like that, although the cuts are not really my thing.
