$110 is OUTRAGEOUS. I could make the stool for next to nothing (scrap wood) and the covers would probably cost about $10-20 of materials.
About $25-30 to make them, or $110 to buy.
I love them, but the are NOT worth that at all. Especially with the overly simplified construction. No lathe, no drilling. Just 8 sticks and a board for the bottom. Seriously?
But it still takes time, and skill. Many people don’t have either. If they have the dough, why not support an artisan who enjoys making them and puts love into each one? I agree, it would be a wonderful DIY project, with the right amount of time and resources…might have to add it to my bucket list. Very charming! Simply perfect. I love them 🙂
I think $110 is a great price. Crocheting a different color every round and weaving in those damn ends? Frustrating and time consuming to say the least! The one on the right is made of 16 granny squares she had to seam together. It takes time to make pretty things, folks!
oohhh! lovely
aw reminds me of my oma 🙂

Amazing!
I would love to make some of my own when I’m older and living in a countryhouse:)
The combo of the rough chairs and colourful seats is just incredibly comforting.
