Mad For Plaid

Nothing used to feel moreĀ tragic than the end of summer. However, over the last few years, fall has quickly risen from the ranks as my favorite season. Perhaps it’s because theĀ transitional weather is just glorious here in Northern California. Or thatĀ Quincy has made the holidays that much more enjoyable. Or becauseĀ our relatively new homeĀ feels soĀ incrediblyĀ cozy this time of year. Either way, I was recently inspired to give my kitchen a miniĀ fall makeover with the ultimate crisp,Ā autumnal pattern: plaid! From Target‘s extensiveĀ plaid collection to Adam Lippescheckered collaboration,Ā I mixed and matched beige, navy and orange prints to my heart’s content. That’s what I love about plaid – you can never go wrong mismatching patterns and colors. I love how everything turned out. AndĀ I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate the start of fall than baking a fresh tart and cozying up with a blanket, a cup of coffee and a really good book.
