Lost And Found

I now need leather animals in my house after seeing the home of antique store owner Hitoshi Uchida. All the interesting vintage and found treasures bring so much life and warmth to his light filled home!

I love the rustic, sumptuous vibe. The only thing I’m a little bit on the fence about are the leather boots with the divided toes– kind of like Vibrams for regular wear!

Hi, I just wanted to say that I love your blog and it’s one of my daily ‘go-to’s for inspiration and beauty. I must say though that I was struck today by surprise by the leather animals…they kinda give me the creeps! Isn’t it just a bit too close for comfort to the fact that animals are killed for their skin? Something about it doesn’t sit well with me at all I’m afraid. One day when I was travelling in Rome I came across this amazing antique shop, with all kinds of things from Egypt and places I have never been, and outside the front door they had a fully 3D stuffed camel – made of camel skin! euuuw, spooky! Anyway, thanks for all your cool work and lots of love! 🙂

yeah… the leather animals are pretty creepy. to me, it’s just a little disturbing to have dead cow’s skin shaped like a kangaroo. sort of a buffalo bill style :p but otherwise, great room!
