Cloth & Kind’s Guide to Lighting

As many of you might know, we are in the midst of a major renovation up in Northern California's beloved wine country, Sonoma. Although it's a dream project, the reality is that it's been stressful and overwhelming overall. And honestly, that's an understatement. If you've ever experienced a renovation, you understand that even the smallest project can seem like a massive undertaking. I'm always surprised at the gazillion decisions that need to be made along the way. And to be honest, we're at the point in the process where I'm frankly tired of making decision! But the light at the end of the tunnel is barely visible so onward and upward . . .

Speaking of lights, my friends at Cloth & Kind have just recently launched the ultimate lighting guide for people like you and me who appreciate good lighting but also have umpteen questions when it comes to actually choosing it for our homes. Should I really make the switch from incandescent to LEDs? What should I be looking for when purchasing LED lights? What in the heck are lumens? Should I be lighting artwork? How bright does bathroom lighting need to be? I can go on and on. Cloth & Kind designers Krista Nye Nicholas and Tami Ramsay are generously sharing all the answers thanks to their incredible design aesthetic and their handy and thorough lighting resource. You also don't want to miss their wonderfully curated lighting shop! I'm just grateful for something that makes the decision making process just little smoother. So thank you, ladies!
