On The Wall

If you’ve got a few minutes to spare today and are looking to be inspired, check out this short film showing how French artists Supakitch and Koralie created a beautifully detailed mural from start to finish. The Japanese inspired mural was put together last fall for an exhibition in Sweden called Kimono Fusion.

This is amazing and so inspiring! Even though I could never come close to what they’ve done it akes me want to take brush in hand and tackle my apartment walls. It looks so effortless and elegant and free when they draw freehand like that. I just love it!

  36. Love this. I woke up the other morning with some Japanese style idea’s in my head for some textile’s that I am working on and was having trouble translating what was in my head onto paper. I finally got it down and only wished I had seen this sooner!

Increditible illustrators… I love mixed media and the cut paper with the paint and ink is pretty sweet. the intense use of color mixed with the black bold lines makes it pop from the muted background

I always wish to know more about what materials and techniques are used in things like this.
Like, what paint? What adhesive? What blades/scissors? What kind of markers do they use?

That mural and their other thing are really pretty and exciting!
