Showing up on discarded furniture on the streets of Milwaukee are lyrics by the master love song balladeer himself, Lionel Richie. Molly Evans of Mollyeeee has created a series of public art works by sewing braided yarn onto sofas, armchairs, and mattresses of unsuspecting residents. Honestly, awesome.

Interesting to see someone’s intellectual property “repurposed” this way. I don’t know what Lionel thinks about it, but I would be calling my attorney.
That’s so interesting!

This is actually really cute. And I don’t think I’d be bringing in my lawyers if I were Lionel Ritchie – not when someone is gaining me free, positive exposure in such a creative and amusing way.

The only thing original about this is the word placement – I saw a show an amazing art exhibit in Los Angeles in 2010 called “Love Them & Leave Them” of discarded sofas around LA.
Love your blog!
