Martina Nehrling, a Chicago based artist, is inspired by the chaotic nature of life and the many colors that come from it. Her work is created by an accumulation of multiple single-colored brushstrokes, making each composition seemingly elementary and incredibly complex at the same time.
LOVE her artwork! so bright and bold! Thanks for sharing!
I’m glad you showed close-ups of the paint strokes because you can really see how thought out and complex her pieces are. They’re very cool…
Fantastic colors! So bright!
I love the gloopy clumps of paint, especially in the third one! great find, these would totally brighten up a dull room
in dramatic fashion
It’s a great idea. It inspires me to do more painting. But I’ve been lazy and now prefer to paint with my fingers.. and on a tablet.
is this really thick acrylic paint?
I really love these, and it’s the kind of thing that I think “Hmm, I could recreate something like that,” but then would end up with a really shoddy looking painting!
They remind me a little bit of the Cocoa and Hearts paintings, too.
I am in love for the second picture
kisses from your follower! ♡

These fabulous colorful paintings are truly amazing. I’m not usually a huge fan of abstract or modern paintings but I definitely like these. Great find.

This seems very living with Feng Shui Art!
Prepare to be jealous – Martina lives on my block and I’ve been to her studio several times. She is just as cheerful and colorful and complex as her paintings.
Absolutely gorgeous. Love the color and she’s not just any other abstract painter making random lines and saying its “anger”. The composition is beautiful.
