At three and a half, Quincy is really getting into Legos. They were never an integral part of my childhood, so this is all new territory as I’m navigating my way through the vast world of building bricks and minifigures. Abe, on the other hand, is reliving his childhood and basking in his son’s newfound hobby. Legos were his life! So when I stumbled across Stefano Bolcato‘s Lego People, the art history nerd in me was delighted. The Italian artist has reimagined classic works of art as Lego minifigures. The subjects, in portraits by Frida Kahlo, Leonardo da Vinci, Andy Warhol and Sandro Botticelli, are replaced by yellow heads and block bodies. The series is so quirky and clever, I just dying to see more!
