In his series titled “Flying Houses,” Laurent Chehere manipulates images by placing ordinary homes and buildings high into the sky. Inspired by the forgotten homes of the Belleville and Menilmontant neighborhoods in Paris, Chehere brilliantly highlights the unsung beauty and details of the architecture.

  5. Love these! They also kind of remind me of “x-fois gens chaise” by Angie Hiesl which I was lucky enough to see in Montreal. She suspended older people in chairs above the street, having them carry on with daily activities like mending clothes or peeling vegetables. You can see the photos I captured here: http://sisterdisco.com/2012/05/31/montreal/

  6. I love that gorgeously framed window on that first house. If I had that, I’d just read and drink coffee leaning out of that window all day.

What a great way to highlight the beauty of architecture! The lines get lost in the clutter of yards & neighbors. Love this idea!
