I’ll never forget the first time I visited milliner Lola Ehrlich‘s Brooklyn atelier. Witnessing the age old process of hat making left me in awe and gave me a greater appreciation for the endangered art. I especially love the way Lola takes classics and turns them on their head. It’s the little touches, like an exaggerated oversized brim, a cheeky pom pom embellishment, a super tall crown or simply an unexpected color combination, that exude Lola’s zest for life and sense of humor.
