Honestly WTF

Black Rock City

Posted by on

Burning Man takes place this week in Northern Nevada’s Black Rock Desert. It’s hard to believe that once a year tens of thousands of people gather to create Black Rock City, an entirely fabricated town dedicated to community, art, self-expression, and self-reliance. And after the week is over, there is absolutely no trace of human life leftover whatsoever. Honestly, amazing. Have any of you participated in this annual gathering?

but no i have never gone.
P.S. although I feel like this event is more colorful and crowded as it is not portrayed in your photos, I still adore your photos they are really great!!!!!

These pictures are amazing, especially since most of Burning Man’s pics are usually very crazy and almost too vivid to look at. Beautiful.

WOW!! Wicked shots! Would love to check this out!! Looking at the photos made me feel like I was wondering through a dream!

I attended last year, and it was nothing short of a dream world. A dusty daze of combat boots, nudity, and some of the most amazing art you’ve ever seen!

I love that your pictures show the weird desert atmosphere, art and creativity, not just the nudity and crazy stuff that I had heard about.

The past 2 years, but am short on PTO days so had to skip this year and can hardly look at the photos. At the gate if you return you are welcomed with a hug and the words ‘welcome home’. That’s how I feel: Homesick. For everyone who wants to go, be quick. It’s getting bigger every year and some folks who are going since the past 10 or 13 years acknowlegde that some of the old spirit is slowly declining in return for the party people spirit. The price for popularity perhaps. Have a great burn! XM

beautiful photos! almoooost kind of makes me miss it. :)

i went a couple years ago and it started out really, really bad—i yakked all over my tent/bed/self the very first day and then obviously couldn’t properly bathe for 5 days.

it was definitely sensory overload for me, and i wasn’t quite prepared for it (even though i studied hard).

but, despite the vom-fest, i’d love to make it out there again soon. it’s too bad the tickets are becoming so hard to come by!
