My favorite time of year is when summer beings to transition into fall. Those long sunny days still linger but the air is crisp. Cooler evenings mean heavier comforters and throw blankets. And nothing is more evocative of the seasons than this cozier than cozy than this lake house on the shores of Upper Saranac Lake in New York’s Adirondack Mountains. Designed by architecture firm Shope Reno Wharton, with interiors by Thom Filicia, the rustic family friendly retreat is memory making perfection.
