Nanette Lepore’s Cabin

Kelly Framel, from The Glamourai, recently paid a visit to Nanette Lepore’s Amagansett home and man, is it fabulously groovy! The unrestrained inclusion of color, art (mostly painted by family members) and kitsch add to it’s nostalgic appeal. You can almost imagine all the wonderful memories that must be made, summer after summer, in this charming getaway.

Love the eclectic mix of pieces. All those moments and memories captured with an artwork or a sculpture. And really aren’t memories more important than design….

  10. Beautiful home. And I like that it actually looks like a home, it’s not too perfect and polished, like a lot of homes nowadays.

I was loving tt until I got to the boot jack used as a door stop. Those bloody things always make me cringe. In a space with so many wonderful female nudes, it breaks my heart that one of these was included. Could she possibly be unaware that a man was meant to step on the figure’s face while jamming his boot heel between the figure’s legs to wedge his boot from his leg when there was no one else like a butler or a subservient woman to help him off with his boots? They’re not doorstops. Ugh!
