Industrial Steel

My husband and I recently bought our first home together (or should I say, fixer upper) and if you follow me on Instagram or Pinterest, you probably already know that we’re in the middle of doing a major gut renovation. Though the remodel began only a month ago, we’re already having to make some major decisions about the kitchen and windows. Gulp. I’ve always been obsessed with large, industrial steel windows – they provide such a dramatic and strong look, while allowing in tons of natural light. Authentic industrial steel windows aren’t the easiest to come by but I’m determined to incorporate them into our home!

These windows are really rad ! But my parents have the same kind of large windows on one ide of the house, only downside is… you need a very good heating system in the winter ! The cold gets through so much more easily…

As an architecture student I’m equally passionated about this theme as you are.
I recommend you take a look at Bauhaus architecture: it very often incorporates large surfaces of glass with steel frames that are very similar to the ones you described.
Here’s an example from the Bauhaus building (Dessau) as designed by Walter Gropius: http://www.you-are-here.com/europe/fenster.jpg. I love the detailing: some parts open and revolve and others do not.

“Those windows are gorgeous”, “I can’t believe what they do to a home”, “They’re my first choice when I design a home”. These are among the statements I hear from architects, builders and designers when I show them what we can do for them. We have several clients who have decided to use our product on every home they design. They do this because it makes good sense for them.

When you build a high-end home and put on another vinyl or wood window, you’re simply filling a hole. When you put in a Euroline Steel WIndow in place, you’re making the best possible design choice. Our clientele choose them because it helps them sell homes faster and for more money. Unique and Inspiring fenestration makes good business sense. Check out our site and see what we can do for you.

  32. The chair in outside, in the 5th image is not wicker. It is powder-coated steel. From Italy and runs $11,000.

I am in the process of hunting for these very windows! I want to incorporate them into a new home.
However, they are very difficult to find the actual window ideas that are pictured on Pinterest. Many internet sites
are for European companies, only a few U.S. None are close to my home. And the price tag is big, so be prepared.
I am continuing to look. Most of the popular window companies have not “caught up” to this trend yet.
