Gallery Walls

I love this way of displaying a collection of artwork. But what’s the secret to transforming an otherwise boring wall into an at-home gallery? A diverse selection of photographs and art in a variety of mismatched frames and the willingness to forgo your obsession with perfection and symmetry. A bit of foresight in mapping out your collage on the floor before hanging helps too!

I think this is a great idea for spaces which are meant to inspire you, like an office/workspace, or spaces that you just pass through, like a corridor, as all the different colours and shapes will provide a great source of inspiration on a daily basis. However I feel a bedroom or a living room could do with less artwork, but just a few well selected ones that will keep you inspired but relaxed.

  10. It seems so easy, but creating a collection of artwork is surprisingly challenging. Some of displays I find appealing, while others tend to overwhelm the space to the point where you can’t really appreciate the work.

Lots of inspiration in these pictures. Some of them have too much pieces of art in my opinion, but the idea is great.

  37. First off I want to say superb blog! I had a quick question which I’d like to ask
if you do not mind. I was interested to find out how you
center yourself and clear your thoughts before writing.
I’ve had difficulty clearing my mind in getting my ideas out there.
I truly do enjoy writing but it just seems like the first 10
to 15 minutes are generally lost just trying to figure out how to begin.
    Any recommendations or hints? Kudos!
