Chic Chalet

Posted by on

This two year renovation project of a 1870 structure is the work of Beligian decorator Lionel Jadot and is located in the town of Megéve of the French Alps. Filled with treasures from all over the world and decorated with European elements, like the Bisazza tiled kitchen, this eclectic rustic home is the perfect winter hideaway.

What a fantastic interior. The wood isn’t too overwhelming, but rather feels cosy, thanks to the high ceilings and tall windows. I love all the little corners where you can relax, read…etc. Also some amazing furniture… some of these chairs and sofas are amazing. I would love to have this type of place as a second home one day :)

Amazing. IT’s so gorgeously warm with all that exposed wood – but such elegant lines! Love it! Also, I totally pinned that shot of the tilework on the kitchen island; a few months ago I pinned a shower surround that was like this – oversize wallpaper florals translated into tile. I just love this look.

Wow. One of the prettiest homes I have ever seen photos of. I love the natural wood elements. It’s so refreshing to read that they restored it rather than built it to make it look like they did.
