I just spent the last hour perusing Jennifer Sarkilahti‘s collection of delicate and organic jewelry. She begins each design with a pencil sketch which is then translated into wax, using ancient and modern carving techniques, before finally being cast in various metals.     Beautiful, meaningful and honest….what an artisan…reminds me of an extremely small scale version of the cave boutique hotel I posted about today.

    I love the skeletal structure of the necklace in the photo third from the top. It reminds me a little bit of a trilobite.
