Honestly WTF

Izziyana Suhaimi

Posted by on

We’ve been seeing a lot of embroidered art as of late but I must say that so far, I’ve been most impressed by Singaporean artist Izziyana Suhaimi‘s work. I can’t get over how skillfully she is able to incorporate ornate embroidery techniques with her own pencil drawings and watercolors, pushing the boundaries of traditional and popular culture. Simply beautiful.

I just started embroidering again after seeing this incredible embellished Balmain dress. Now I’m doubly inspired! Her work is beyond amazing!

Very interesting idea to mix the two mediums. Embroidery seems to be gaining in popularity. I just read a post on Design Sponge about another girl who embroiders book jackets and sells them on Etsy.

I love this, a great way for illustration and fashion to merge.

We are always looking for illustrators with a unique talent like this.
