I’m not sure if I have ever seen a cooler campsite in my life. As a collector of of afghans and frequenter of Joshua Tree, I was immediately mesmerized by artist Léa Donnan tents made of salvaged crocheted blankets and then scattered across the Mojave Desert. Desert Appliqué was set up last year at the High Desert Test Site – I only wish I was around to see it in person!
