Lulie Wallace is attracted to all things alien, where upon closer inspection, objects are distinguished by their uniqueness and character. Her ‘aliens’ take form in a lime green tabletop, a magenta shadow, or in vibrant teal greenery. Her color choices and bold backgrounds are so happy inducing!

you know those kid shows where you’re following a kid’s imagination with a crayon–the baby just draws things and is immediately living in the picture he draws. this is the adult version. i just want to be in these beautiful colors surrounded by these beautiful floral arrangements.

I love the whimsy and, almost juvenile, quality to these paintings – but the color palates are very sophisticated.

These are nicely done. Some are better then others, but overall not my cup of tea. I like paintings that challenge painting. Where’s the soul in these?
really wonderful paintings! I love the color theory in them
