Oh, the “flatform” . . . dislike the name almost as much as the word “jeggings” but love that they give the balls of my feet a break while still adding several inches of height. Here are some of my favorite reasonably leveled platforms for those long summer strolls ahead.
(Clockwise from top left: Vena Cava Suzanne $388 Delman Carrie $250, Jeffrey Campbell Douma $179, Cooperative Janis $59, Michael Kors Triple Buckle $750, Modern Vintage Wedge $250, Ecote Macrame Platform $59, Jeffrey Campbell Suebee $140; bottom image via Vogue.com)
How perfect… very cute and comfortable looking, just what I want!
Wow, so gorgeous! You have such impeccable taste!

I like the look of the Jeffry Campbell ones the best, but I think that’s because you can’t even really call them flatforms (ugh, it really is a horrible word), they just look like regular platform wedges to me. I think the idea of the flatform is kind of strange, doesn’t flatter your legs the way a heel would, just makes you a little taller, like having lifts in your shoes, right? Which, I think, is not sexy or attractive at all. So if you’re going flat why not just wear flats? I don’t know… I just don’t get it. But maybe in a few months I’ll be eating my words and rocking flatforms with the best of them!

I’m on board with the flatform!
I still can’t wear these…
Love Vena Cava version, but absolutely wouldn’t mind any of them from Urban Outfitters. They are so reasonably priced..

I am so not on board with the flatform trend. I just don’t understand it. But to each their own, i guess.

I have to admit the ‘flatform’ isnt my favorite, HOWEVER the effrey Campbell Douma’s are oh-so-close to being wedges, plus the bright orange color makes these my fave of the bunch here!
