Longtime friends and fashion industry veterans Claire Lampert and Stacy Daily's obsession with denim started long before the start of their curated vintage studio Where I was From. Their experience re-working denim also long preceeded the current vintage denim craze. Years of sourcing all over the country, sifting through massive palettes of old garments in search of that perfect imperfect pair, was enough know-how for the duo to start their own affordable collection, using denim from 19th century family-owned mills in Georgia and North Carolina and vintage inspired cuts that are so meticulously designed. Their recent collaboration with Bode, a menswear line made using antique quilts, grain sacks and bed linens, is a nod to their beginnings and love of heirlooms. Antique denim aprons and vintage Levi's 501's denim are reworked, using Victorian friendship quilts, into one of a kind jeans and jackets. They're like works of art . . . perfection!

pictures are not coming thru when I click link from email newsletter-has been happening all the time lately-I’m using the latest version of Safari (as always) on a macbook OSX 10.10.5
Plus, I really DO NOT like the new email format without pictures like it used to be. I’m considering unsubscribing because it feels so much like an underhanded bait & switch move on your part. Cheap and cheesey, not what I would think you’d want the vibe to be.
Thanks for your feedback. Tt’s definitely not intentional. since the new site design launched, I just haven’t had the time to fix the newsletter. I’m a one person show here so it just takes time for me to get around to fixing all the glitches for you guys. I’ll try my best to get it fixed ASAP but it’s certainly not meant for lure my readers into clicks in any way. I’m actually hoping to upgrade the newsletter so that it actually shows more pictures!! I have the same problem with images not loading when you click thru but if you click on the ‘Honestly WTF’ in the upper left corner of the web page they should load, at least they have for me. Hope that helps!
