I know I'm stating the obvious here but I'm a jewelry addict. For you newcomers, I thought it was important to put it out there - a reintroduction, if you will. One of my favorite questions that I get asked is where I buy my jewelry. I take pride in my passion for finding antique jewelry and discovering new designers. And it's that perfect layering of old and new that inspires my devotion to all things distinctive and gold . . . so without further ado, I thought I'd share a handful of designers I'm currently crushing on.
WALD
Inspired by the beaches of Bali and the streets of New York, Berlin based label Wald designs jewelry that incorporate real seashells, freshwater pearls, and Swarovski crystals. Everything is made in Germany by a fair trade collective.
CINCO
Portuguese label Cinco's gold medallion necklaces are made for layering. I love the versatility and simplicity of the pieces but the best part is that they're rediculously affordable.
LIL
Italian designer Veronica Varetta's desire for everyday, solid gold jewelry was the catalyst for her own jewelry label, LIL. Each piece is made in Milan and crafted from fine 9k and 18k gold. I love the simplicity in her designs, which make them perfect for layering and a lifetime of wear.
MISSOMA
My love of antique coin jewelry had me smitten with Missoma's collection of 18k gold plated medallions and coins, designed in collaboration with one of my favorite bloggers Lucy Williams. The details are exquisite and a stellar option if the real thing is out of your price range.
Wow. I want to make to this.
The pieces from WALD are SO beautiful! I love freshwater pearls, but it’s often not a popular material to use in modern jewelry. So beachy and classic, while feeling modern too!

Lovely jewelry!
Ok, does anyone know who makes that cream, ribbed long-sleeve shirt with the buttons? I need it!
Love the 70s vibe!

Fantastic post! I really liked what you have written. If you haven’t already, you should also check Tarinika jewelry. My colleague told me about them a few months back, and now I am a big fan – love them. I think they are women-led and employ a lot of women in their business – love their mission. Check them out, if you haven’t yet!
