Mapesbury Road

The home of jewelry designer and interior stylist Marianne Cotterill makes my heart go pitter patter. Her 6,000 sq foot London sprawl, which was build in 1885, is full of eclectic treasures and unique original features. I love how the ornate ceramic tile floors mix from one pattern to the next, how modern and antique are so wonderfully juxtaposed in the kitchen, and how something as basic as an old toothbrush holder can be so charming. This is how I love my homes – truly loved and lived in.

The home is so beautiful and classic looking. The kitchen is my favorite – has the perfect rustic look. Would love to cook a big Thanksgiving meal there!

  6. I *love* the big, stand-up heating register in the bathroom! I had one in my last apartment and it just adds so much vintage charm. (Also a nice place to warm one’s PJs…)

how are wooden toothbrushes a good idea? perhaps they’re plastic made to look like wood, but that’s still silly. Also the bristles are touching the toothbrush holder. that just seems like it would be gross if you ever wanted to reuse them.

Why would you have mirrors at that height? Referring to the ones in the restroom.
