Palorosa Project

You can’t visit Guatemala without noticing women toting around bags, hand woven from multi-colored, recycled plastic fibers, to and from work, the market . . . everywhere. Architect and design consultant Cecilia Pirani has reimagined the ubiquitous tote in a variety of shapes and gorgeous, mostly subtle and solid, colors. I love the modern interpretation of such a utilitarian bag.
