My hair has arrived at that awkward, in-between length, where I can’t quite decide whether to go short again or continue to let it grow. Caroline Ventura‘s series of manageable hair tutorials for Cup of Jo has been the perfect solution for my predicament. I especially love how unfussy each hairstyle is – perfect for someone who seriously embraces messy hair!

ugh I wish I could do cool stuff with my hair!

Very Lovely.. I’ve been having the same problem. Cup of Jo is a great read!

omg, I’m gonna try this 😀
It’s really pretty, buy I have to tell you, that length is not problematic AT ALL. I’ve had a “young Mia Farrow” length for about two years and now I want to let it grow again…which has been a true nightmare u.u it would be nice that you uploaded tips for short hair :3
I just cut my hair a couple of weeks ago, and didn’t regret them at all, but looking at these make me wish my hair is a little longer to try these out!
I’m loving all this hair inspiration – will have to try some of these styles some time! x

i like the fourth photo!
My hair does whatever it wants no matter what I try to do to it. And aside from the days where it goes reverse-mullet, it’s been more pleasant to do nothing and let it be messy. xD That said, even with my longish hair, only the last one would be doable for me.
Wish my hair was long enough to do so. xoxo

Love the messy look! Always an accomplishment when you can make messiness look purposeful and beautiful. I’ve got that awkward length going on as well and these styles will work to my advantage, thanks!
These hairstyles are so cute!

Wonderful looks! naturally beautiful. Look forward to trying them ourselves xox
My hair is always messy, I have kind of decided it’s just my thing. THe once a month I go to hairdresser, I look like different person after blow dry. I am ok with the messy, plop on my head and have a few (sometimes more than a few) around my face………….I don’t mind it
I love this! These are all gorgeous.

Gorgeous! I love a cup of jo blog!

I’ve been trying to achieve some wicked messed updos like this. However due to the nature of my hair (straight), it makes these styles really hard to achieve 🙁
Love the first 4 styles a lot 🙂

I don’t think we can talk about messy hair without talking about French actress Astrid Berges Frisbey, who has rocked the ‘straight out of bed’ hair on the runway countless times.
Here’s a fancier example she’s done:
