A River Runs Through It

Believe it or not, these abstract and seemingly microscopic images are in fact aerial photographs of rivers flowing down the sides of some of Iceland’s 30 active volcanoes. Photographer Andre Ermolaev has truly captured stunning combinations of nature’s colors, patterns and textures. Simply mind-blowing!

They are almost hypnotic! So surreal & beautiful {isn’t nature grand for things like that}? Is it to fashion-ccentric of me to think that a few of those photos would make lovely textile prints?
