The sweltering LA heat has me seriously considering purchasing a galvanized steel stock tank to cool off in. Did you know you can DIY you’re own stock tank pool, equip with a pump, for less than $500? Find out how here!

FYI, most of these examples are far from DIY stock tank set-ups. Most of these are true hot tubs with price tags in the multiple 1000s. Plus the cost of electricity for the pump which must run daily, and the heater which must be used most of the year. And don’t forget they must be topped up with water twice a week in warm months, due to evaporation and splashing.
Don’t get me wrong, they are great backyard additions, but way more expensive to install and maintain than most people know.
I would love to see a WTF DIY for this! 🙂 You’re such an inspiration for my own creative living blog hapinesswherever.wordpress.com 🙂 I’d love to do something like this but I personally hate using complicated tools, so I focus only on easy (but still stylish- I think!) DIY projects!
We are in the process of getting some custom designs together. We have been working with a landscape designer for about 6 months now on new plans, ideas and CAD blueprints that will be available for sale soon. Very affordable, we are thinking $5-$10 for the plans. Anyway, thanks for sharing this. It really is an awesome feature to have in your landscape.
It’s really a great and helpful piece of information. I’m happy that you
