I love my grey kitchen but wow, am I obsessed with the idea of a black kitchen! I love how surprisingly clean pitch black cabinets can make a space look, especially with the addition of brass hardware and the contrast of white walls or countertops. These photos are definitely going into my inspiration folder for my next project.

I dream of an entire space in B & W and I am almost there. All the photos on my blog are black and white because black is my favorite color or non-color however you want to phrase it. I love these photos and am putting them in my inspiration book too. When it comes to black kitchens I share the words of Yohji Yamamoto “Black is lazy and easy…Black can swallow light and make things sharp” So descriptive of the kitchen pictures no?

What a lovely collection! It’s curious to me how many kitchens I’ve seen lately that have extremely dark color palettes. I’m a huge fan of the look because it feels mysterious and cozy and completely unique to the crisp white, airy feel that you find everywhere. This is very chic and inspiring. Thanks for sharing!

I wonder how long this trend will last? We’ve done a lot of kitchen accents in black. People seem to like the look of using a black island in a lighter kitchen cabinet design.
I have to admit, it does look pretty darned cool!
