This time of year always inspires me to bring out my knitting needles to knit – especially now after I’ve discovered this new super-sized yarn. Chunky knits are not only a trend in sweaters and beanies, they have made there way to our homes. Spain based Knitting Noodles sells 100% merino wool yarn, crochet hook, and needles so that you can whip up some luscious and super soft goodies.
(Knitting Noodles, $19 -$975; There are some some great chunky knit throws on Etsy for sale here, here and here)

I absolutely love to knit and I love to use chunky yarn. This super chunky yarn is ah-mazing!!
That’s not really so much yarn as just pure wool top, like spinners use. It’s lovely stuff (though it will pill horribly).
obsessed. i have to get my hands on all of these.
WOW. wANDERFUL ideas. It’s very improtat to be original Christmas time. I like handmade stuff since 14y. I make all presents by myself. This year i’m planning to decorate Christmas Tree with handmade stuff. I found one really rally nice ball, but not shure how to dit? any ideas? http://www.moterisirnamai.com/2013/11/kaledines-dekoracijos-is-sagu.html
I loved the beanies you linked to above! Does anyone know how to make one? Is there a video anywhere? Thanks : )
I would love to snuggle under those knit blankets! The yarn really looks like noodles as well – they remind me of Japanese udon!
I’ve been obsessed with knitting chunky things since completing my first coat a couple of weeks ago. Since then, I’ve been looking for sources for big fluffy yarn. Thanks for this!!
I completely love this chunky knits. You have inspired me to have a go, thanks!
How did you find the wool held up? Did it pill and snag?
Thanks for any info you will offer. It’s quite an investment to not have the product stand up over time. I have wanted to crochet many items but it seems no one will answer these questions. Is it just a fad or will the item last.
It sure is lovely. Thanks for sharing.
