Las Pozas is a surrealist garden created by Sir Edward James, a British poet and major supporter of the Surrealist art movement. In 1949 James chose the tropical jungles near Xilitla, San Luis Potosí in Mexico for his garden of Eden. 35 years later, 80 acres of natural waterfalls and pools were dotted with staircases to nowhere, concrete flowers with leaves big enough to walk on, and massive sculptures. He was so passionate about the project that he sold his collection of surrealist art to pay for the 5 million dollar project. Honestly!

Reminds me of the secret garden. I would love to visit here.
It’s just as beautiful in person as it is depicted here. It is in the middle of the jungle and surrounded by waterfalls. Unfortunately it is a struggle to maintain and the Mexican government has been doing its best to preserve it.
This place is amazing. Wish I could see it in person.
