Leave it toΒ Olivier Theyskens, the master of downtown casual chic, to create a new denim silhouette for Spring: faded high waisted jeans with the waistbands dropping below the hips and slouchy the rest of the way down! Pair it with a belt, a t shirt, and a pair of heels – and you’ll be full of swagger next season. Perfection!

oh noes! not feeling this at all. It looks like maternity wear π
Although I’m not entirely in love with this design, Theyskens again shows his creativity in fashion. He took the best of last falls trends, high waisted pants and married them with the hipster trend from the 90’s. This truly is an example of the evolution of fashion; marrying the old with the new. I know I won’t wear these, but still I love the idea behind the collection.
i had some esprit pants like this, in the late 80s in cream linen. i’m not sure they looked that great on me but the cleverness of design kept me from the truth.
Count me out. I don’t need my mama tummy highlighted between two seams in denim.
honestly, i’d love it if i had the right body type. we’re not all sticks. i loved a lot of things this fall and spring because i thought they were feminine.
ahhh yes I love theysken’s theory! awesome collection.

oh ! I didn’t see it yet! I have to, I love theory!
I love Theyskens’ Theory! This is one of my favorite collections from nyfw so far
I’m not sure about that waistline.
i love the slouchiness of the denim paired with the feminine tops – kind of reminds me of the ’90s but in a good way
I LOVE THEYSKENS. enough said. i bought two pieces from their current fall collection, so fantastic.

Great styling on denim!

These looks were grabbing my eye as something I still want to be wearing but slowly have to add more layers as the tempatures aren’t as hot. Love it.

A thin black/white horizontal line precisely drawn where women are widest AND a dropped, saggy crotch? Oh, please. How is this fashion!?!? Ditto the godawful low rise pants of the past umpteen years. Would someone please explain to me how monstrous jiggling bellies and muffin tops bulging out over tight-tight-tight falling-down pants has been considered remotely attractive, let alone fashionable, for the past several years?
Yes, it does make you look fat(ter).
Although I somewhat agree with Barbara on the fit of these garments, I would hope the ready-to-wear translation would be more flattering. With that said, I LOVE all these looks – so comfy, so casual and I love the pairing with sexy black stilettos.
