What strange and unsettling times we're living in. As we continue to navigate the realities of our current health crisis, while also managing our emotional and mental health, I am seeking laughter and creative inspiration more than ever before. We all need it to help lighten the mood and lift our spirits. So, here is the work of artist Dave Pollot, a former software engineer who rehabs thrift store art into these contemporary masterpieces. With oil paints and an appreciation for pop culture, he skillfully juxtaposes old and new. They bring a smile to my face and I hope they do the same for you.

Main image, especially, on point. Thanks for the laughter this morning, Erica. I needed it!
Glad it could bring you some comic relief š xx
Erica, this is great. Like Krista I, too, got a good belly laugh. I couldn’t help but envision a face mask on the Mona Lisa. ha ha ha Or even better…her background is filled with the rolls and rolls of toilet paper she’s stashed! Oh, my. My stomach is hurting from all the laughing.
I really like these arts because they are more than painting and gives us a strong message if you can see it. Just look into the picture up to a few seconds and you will realize the real potential behind them.
