I just love the way artist Ben Giles alters vintage and fashion photographs to create the most fabulously eccentric collages. Honestly, so good.

After receiving numerous compliments on a pair of simple oxfords she had made while in Marrakech, it only made sense for New York designer Tory Noll to launch a footwear line inspired by that very pair. Every pair of TEN & Co. shoes is cut from vintage blankets, antique kilims, and supple leathers scoured from the souks and flea markets of Morocco. Simple and oh so lovely.

In October I made my first trip out to Joshua Tree, and it’s amazing surroundings, to celebrate my birthday with my boyfriend and our dog Gordos. In just 3 days and 2 nights we hiked Joshua Tree National Park, camped in Jumbo Rocks, made a quick stop at the World Famous Crochet Museum, experienced glamping at the Hicksville trailer park hotel, and ended the trip with a visit to the glorious Salvation Mountain. Apparently Leonard Knight, the man behind this colorful mountain, has recently become sick and there has been talk of his life’s work being torn down. Though I’m not a religious person, I can appreciate his artistic dedication.
DIY Holiday Gift Wrap

Beautiful wrapping can be just as special as the gift itself – after all, it sets the deserved anticipation for the wonderful surprise waiting inside, doesn’t it?
