Twilight Room

Posted by on

Do you remember that unforgettable scene in Auntie Mame with the fabulously far-fetched, post modern hydraulic benches designed by the fictional Danish designer Yul Ulu? Well, interior designer Kendall Wilkinson‘s hovering cantilevered benches, created for LUXE Magazine’s Maison de Luxe Show House, would have made Mame proud. The benches and the infinity mirror with bright yellow flowers are the show stopping features of this custom designed space. Honestly, wow.

I love that gray and yellow pallet. I just want to drench everything I own in gray and yellow right now.

Auntie Mame is such an amazing movie…so glad somebody else has seen it too! And the bit that stayed in my head the most after watching it as a kid was totally the sofa part :)

    Hi Everybody,

I’d feel so incredible walking into this. From the hovering benches, the layout and the infinity mirror wall, it’s absolutely breathtaking. What a creative design!

    Have an awesome weekend all,

Oh my! This is one thing I definitely wouldn’t mind having in a sitting room in my future house!

I LOVE Auntie Mame! It’s a great movie and even better book!!!
This room totally reminds me of that, however I think the infinity mirror is by far the best feature!

I love this room. I want this room. So rich, warm, and dreamy. I’ve been working on creating something just like this in my own living room. Thank you for even more inspiration.

    1) Love this
    2) Love it more that I’m not the only one to see the “ups and downs” in this!
