Olympia Le-Tan

Posted by on

Inspired by vibrant and old book covers, Olympia Le-Tan launched her You Cant Judge A Book By Its Cover collection in September 2009. Her love of literature was a passion she shared with her father, French illustrator Pierre Le-Tan, and her talent for embroidery was inherited from her grandmother. Each clutch is handmade in France, lined with beautiful Liberty of London fabric, and limited to only 16 pieces per design. I would love to own any of these incredible book bags –  it would look so lovely sitting on my bookshelf when I am not carrying it!

Lol I’m guessing the previous posters don’t realize that she has hand embroidered the clutch covers {not simply using a book cover}!
What stunning work– I tried to learn how to embroider a long time ago, but other than being able to make simple flowers, I could never master the control and patience needed to do anything like this! Very beautiful!

Completely amazing! I’d love to see them in person – the details look impeccably crafted.

These are too cute. I wish that they were more affordable – it makes me want to try a little DIY craft-time!

    Hello,

French girl and definitely crazy about fashion I really do love Olympia Le Tan, I discovered her bag at Colette shop, but they are so expensive it’s just à dream!

I’m utterly obsessed with these! I especially want the “Catcher in the Rye” & “The Great Gatsby” — a few of my all time fave literary pieces :) I might just have to settle with carrying around hardcover versions, pretending they’re these gorgeous clutches!

This is one of those rare pieces of art that truly shows a representation of women’s art, craft, and technology all rolled into one meaningful, useful, and beautiful object that gives a big ol’ cold stare to the art filtered through a patriarchal lens. LOVE it!!!!

These are great! I see a DIY with cigar boxes and felt covers. Shall we try?

If you are a big man, the Nike Shox NZ 2.0 SI will work a lot better than the Nike Max Airs. If you have never worn Nike Shox before, then you will need to know that the shoe is not as comfortable right out of the box.
